Parenting Coordination & Mediation in Wildwood and Middleton

Wildwood is one of Sumter County's fastest-growing cities, and it includes Middleton, the family-oriented community of The Villages, where kids, schools and busy weeknights are part of everyday life. For parents raising children in two homes, Jessica offers in-person sessions in Sumter County and video sessions over Zoom.

She holds Florida Supreme Court family mediator certification #44460F, is a licensed clinical social worker, and works as a qualified parenting coordinator. Her role is always impartial: she does not represent either parent or give legal advice.

Parenting coordination for two-home families

A parenting coordinator steps in after a parenting plan exists. Many parents find that the plan reads well on paper, yet day-to-day life still brings friction over exchanges, sports schedules, school breaks or how to message each other. Jessica helps both parents apply the plan they already have, build steadier communication habits, and resolve small disputes before they snowball. Parents can hire her jointly, or a judge may appoint a coordinator. More detail is on the parenting coordination page.

Family mediation and collaborative divorce

Mediation lets you settle family matters without arguing them in open court. Jessica mediates time-sharing schedules, parenting plans, child support and property division for separating couples. She can also act as the neutral facilitator in a collaborative divorce, working beside each spouse's collaborative attorney.

  • A clear outline of the topics, the process and the confidentiality rules

  • Joint or separate sessions, in person in Sumter County or by Zoom

  • A written summary of any decisions, signed electronically when you are ready

Local notes for Wildwood and Middleton parents

Middleton families often juggle school drop-offs, youth activities and work schedules that change by the week. Sessions can be booked around those rhythms, including weekend times by appointment. Sumter County family cases fall within the Fifth Judicial Circuit. Jessica has no affiliation with the court; this is general information.

Wildwood and Middleton FAQs

Our parenting plan is new, but we already disagree about exchanges. Is parenting coordination a fit?
It may be. A coordinator can help you both read the plan the same way and set up exchange routines that hold up during a normal school week.

Can a parenting coordinator change our court order?
No. A coordinator works within your existing plan. Changes to a court order go through the court, and each parent may speak with their own attorney about that.

How do we handle activities and summer camp costs between two homes?
In mediation or coordination, parents can talk through how activity choices get made and how costs are shared, then write down the approach both can live with.

Does Jessica meet families in Wildwood in person?
Yes, in-person sessions are offered in Sumter County, and Zoom is available too.
