Family Mediation & Parenting Coordination in Riverview, Florida

Riverview stretches along the Alafia River in south Hillsborough County. Jessica Oliver, LCSW, sees Riverview couples and co-parents in person within the county, or meets them online through Zoom.

Riverview clients work with a licensed clinical social worker who is also a Florida Supreme Court certified family mediator, #44460F, and a qualified Florida parenting coordinator. She acts only as a neutral, so she won't side with either party or advise anyone on the law.

A steadier way through change

A separation tends to stack decisions on top of each other: where everyone will live, how money will work, and how the kids will move between households. Mediation lets you settle family matters without arguing them in open court. Jessica's clinical training helps keep the pace calm so that each of you gets heard and choices can be taken one at a time.

Matters Riverview families mediate

  • Divorce terms covering the home, savings and shared debt

  • Parenting plans with a workable time-sharing rotation

  • Support amounts and future modifications

  • Paternity and parenting arrangements for unmarried parents

Parenting coordination in Riverview

Having a parenting plan doesn't guarantee smooth days. When schedules, school choices or communication keep stalling, a parenting coordinator offers neutral help putting the plan into practice and working through ordinary disagreements. Parents may set this up together, or a judge can assign one. Visit the parenting coordination page for more.

Riverview questions

Is Zoom mediation as effective as meeting in person?

Plenty of families are comfortable online, because each person is in a private space and Jessica can move people into separate breakout rooms if that helps. Face-to-face meetings in Hillsborough County are also available.

One of us works nights or rotating shifts. Can sessions fit that?

Weekday hours are 9 to 5, and weekend times can be arranged by appointment, which some shift workers find easier.

Our kids switch schools when they move between homes. Can mediation help with that?

Parents can use mediation to talk through which school address to use, who handles drop-offs and how to share report cards and teacher updates, keeping the focus on what works for the children.

Can Jessica act as my attorney?

No. She is a clinical social worker and certified mediator, not a lawyer, and each person may hire their own counsel.

Is the consultation free?

Yes, the first 15 minutes cost nothing.

Schedule a free 15-minute call or call or text (813) 449-2500. More choices are on the appointments page.
