Family Mediation & Parenting Coordination in Lutz, Florida
Lutz has a quirk most towns don't: the community straddles the Hillsborough–Pasco county line. Your street address can decide which courthouse, which judicial circuit, and which court mediation office handles your family case.
Jessica Oliver, LCSW, a Central Florida-based Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator (#44460F) and a qualified Florida parenting coordinator, works with Lutz parents and spouses on both sides of that line.
Which court is my Lutz case in?
Hillsborough side: Thirteenth Judicial Circuit. Family matters run through the George E. Edgecomb Courthouse, 800 E. Twiggs Street, Tampa, where Mediation & Diversion Services sits in Suite 208.
Pasco side: Sixth Judicial Circuit, which covers Pasco and Pinellas. Pasco family cases are heard at the West Pasco Judicial Center in New Port Richey and the Robert D. Sumner Judicial Center in Dade City.
Not sure which applies? The caption on any filing names the county. If nothing has been filed yet, ask your attorney which county is proper. Private mediation is the same process either way, and a signed agreement goes to whichever court has the case.
Two-county households
When one parent lives on each side of the county line, Zoom lets each person join from home, and in-person sessions are available in Hillsborough and Pasco counties. For parenting coordination, that split makes one consistent neutral even more valuable. When exchanges cross a county line and school, activity and holiday logistics multiply, a coordinator under Fla. Stat. §61.125 helps you two work inside the plan you already have, instead of filing motions over pickup times.
Why an LCSW mediator
Jessica pairs mediation training with clinical social work: nearly a decade with trauma and high-conflict families in psychiatric units, VA hospitals, schools, and domestic violence shelters. When co-parenting has become a running argument, that background keeps sessions grounded.
Mediation is $200 per hour with a 2-hour minimum. Your first 15-minute consultation is free.

Lutz FAQs
I live in Lutz. Is my case in Hillsborough or Pasco?
It depends on which county the case is filed in. Hillsborough cases are in the Thirteenth Circuit in Tampa; Pasco cases are in the Sixth Circuit at New Port Richey or Dade City.
Does the county line change how private mediation works?
No. Jessica mediates the same way for either county; the signed agreement is filed with whichever court has your case.
Can a parenting coordinator help when we live in different counties?
Yes. Coordination is designed for families who keep clashing over schedules and exchanges, and sessions can be held by Zoom so nobody has to travel.
Do you meet Lutz clients in person?
Yes, in Hillsborough and Pasco counties, and Zoom is available anywhere in Florida.
Is Jessica an attorney?
No. She is a licensed clinical social worker and certified family mediator. You may bring your own attorney.
